Everyday resistance practices on the institutionalization of the neoliberal model in educational policy: The case of Chilean teaching

This article presents the results of a study about teacher´s everyday practices around the new labor regulations resulting from the Neoliberal model institutionalization in the educational system. During the last decades the management of public education has become, according to the lineaments neoliberal, dramatically changing the scenario work of teachers. In this new context of work, teachers have not responded as expected, hampering the implementation process. Focusing on Chilean public teachers, this article draws from texts generated within teachers, to explore how everyday practices of resistance and professional practices prescribed by the policy, coexist.
