Pais satélites em programas de proteção à criança

O papel dos pais nos serviços de proteção à criança tem recebido cada vez mais atenção em nível internacional. A literatura mostra uma falta sistemática de envolvimento paterno nessas intervenções, causando sua invisibilidade e escassa representação, enquanto as mães são as mais convocadas. Este artigo analisa os resultados de um estudo qualitativo realizado no Chile, com foco nas construções discursivas da paternidade e suas implicações de gênero. A análise baseou-se em uma revisão de arquivos de casos e entrevistas com profissionais de três agências de proteção à criança. Com base na identificação de eixos temáticos, foram analisados aspectos discursivos na forma de articular as compreensões dos casos. Os resultados revelam coincidências com tendências internacionais, mas também identificam um discurso específico que descreve os pais como “satélites”, refletindo construções culturais que reforçam a desigualdade de gênero. Esse discurso contribui para a exoneração dos pais em situações de violência e para a alocação desigual das responsabilidades parentais.
