This research characterizes the practices in psychosocial rehabilitation of two professional teams, deepening the analysis of the socio-community dimension. The data was obtained from group interviews with professionals from the Biobío and La Araucanía (Chile) regions. A directed content analysis was performed on the approximation of the data. The results report that the understanding of the intervention is in tune with the characteristics of the psychosocial intervention, including socio-community components. At the operational level, although the teams value the need to include contextual aspects (community, institutional networks) and make efforts to integrate them, in practice, strategies for the development of individual competencies in the people served are prioritized. Paradoxically, the community appears, for the teams, as a threat to rehabilitation work, since it is where the main risk factors and conditions that restrict the inclusion of the intervention subjects are found.Published
