We present the most important outcomes of the UBACyT research "Gender fairness in the quality of health care for boys and girls", aimed at identifying the way in which health care professionals who attend to boys/girls have assimilated the gender perspective in their practice. It was an exploratory-descriptive study, using qualitative methods for data collection and analysis. We conducted thirty-four interviews to members of the interdisciplinary health care teams who attend to boys and girls from different pediatric units of public hospitals, private clinics and community hospitals of the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina). Among the results, we found that there is an unfair treatment across gender in terms of the quality of health care, which have to do with the theoretical framework of the professionals, something that could bias their decision making.
