The issue of school suicide emerges at the fieldwork as one of many types of violence experienced by school community members. However, it deals with a counter-intuitive proposal for both educational theory and school violence studies. In order to delimit it for social research purposes a specific four-stage methodological mechanism of documentary evidence is proposed; Bibliographic search planning in data bases, bibliographic information gathering, concept map creation and qualitative analysis of concept maps. Results are presented at three levels: "suicide in school" proposal, from its function perspective of possible fact representations, combination of key words "suicide + school", and combination of key words "bullying + suicide + school". These levels allow the discussion of the consequences of a mechanical delimitation of the research topic. Finally, an analytical reading of the conceptual maps is presented and an alternative thematic delimitation of the suicide in school is shown.
