La psicología de la tecnología en la era de la Inteligencia Artificial

El avance de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en nuestras sociedades parece rotundo e imparable. En este contexto, las humanidades y las ciencias sociales deben problematizar los cimientos teóricos y metodológicos de sus propias disciplinas. En el caso de la psicología, la American Psychological Association (APA) ha desarrollado una serie de iniciativas de las que ha emergido una nueva subdisciplina: la Psicología de la tecnología. En este trabajo exploramos cómo la APA entiende y promueve un modo concreto de conceptualizar las relaciones establecidas entre Psicología y Tecnología, aplicando un análisis de contenido temático a 36 documentos de dominio público generados por ella misma. Los principales resultados son: se afirma que el entrelazamiento coevolutivo entre psiquismo y tecnologías es principalmente contemporáneo, sin atender a sus condiciones históricas de emergencia; se conceptualiza el psiquismo desde un enfoque protagónicamente neurocientífico y cognitivo-conductual; y, en línea con lo anterior, se defiende que la vía regia de acceso metodológico a este nuevo campo de estudio está dado por un ensamblaje cuantitativo entre Big Data e Inteligencia Artificial que produce una naturalización de los datos digitales.
