Quando a participação encontra a proteção: o fracasso construtivo de um projeto de fotovoz com jovens trans em instituições de acolhimento

Resumo

Este artigo examina o “fracasso gerativo” de um projeto “photovoice” realizado com jovens trans no sistema de proteção à infância de Quebec, o primeiro estudo desse tipo nesse contexto. Embora inicialmente tenha sido concebido como um modelo de pesquisa-ação participativa em seis fases, o projeto teve que ser reorientado para entrevistas qualitativas individuais e a elicitação fotográfica devido a profundas barreiras institucionais, técnicas e éticas. Com base em marcos transafirmativos e antiopressivos, analisa-se quatro desafios fundamentais: i) os obstáculos estruturais ao recrutamento e ao acesso causados pelo controle institucional; ii) as tensões relacionadas ao uso de dispositivos móveis em espaços controlados e de alta vigilância; iii) o impacto da exclusão digital e do isolamento na autonomia dos participantes; e iv) os dilemas éticos emergentes sobre o uso de smartphones como compensação em contrapartida a incentivos coercitivos. Os resultados destacam um conflito fundamental entre os objetivos emancipadores do photovoice e a lógica coercitiva e protetora das instituições de bem-estar infantil. O artigo conclui com recomendações práticas para pesquisadores e profissionais.
