Cuando la participación enfrenta la protección: el fracaso generativo de un proyecto de fotovoz con jóvenes trans en el sistema de acogida

Este artículo examina el «fracaso generativo» de un proyecto de «photovoice» llevado a cabo con jóvenes trans en el sistema de protección de la infancia de Quebec, el primer estudio de este tipo en este contexto. Aunque inicialmente se diseñó como un modelo de investigación-acción participativa en seis fases, el proyecto debió ser reorientado a entrevistas cualitativas individuales y la elicitación fotográfica debido a profundas barreras institucionales, técnicas y éticas. Con base en marcos transafirmativos y antiopresivos, se analiza cuatro retos fundamentales: i) los obstáculos estructurales para el reclutamiento y el acceso causados por el control institucional; ii) las tensiones relacionadas con el uso de dispositivos móviles en espacios controlados y de alta vigilancia; iii) el impacto de la exclusión digital y el aislamiento en la autonomía de los participantes; y iv) los dilemas éticos emergentes sobre el uso de los teléfonos inteligentes como compensación frente a incentivos coercitivos. Los resultados ponen de relieve un conflicto fundamental entre los objetivos emancipadores de photovoice y la lógica coercitiva y protectora de las instituciones de bienestar infantil. Se concluye con recomendaciones prácticas para investigadores y profesionales.
