The aim of this research was to investigate the school mental health field through the description of mental health problems present in schools, the contextual conditions of implementation, and the necessary interventions to make from the perspective of Chilean professionals. An online survey was administered to 197 school psychological health professionals implementing the Skills for Life program throughout the country. The answers were analyzed through quantitative content analysis. The primary difficulty that these professionals are facing is the externalizing behavior. Regarding the contextual conditions that hinder implementation, the educational model and the lack of spaces in the school agenda stand out. On the other hand, professionals suggest that it is necessary to intervene in parents and teachers, strengthening auxiliary actions, such as the articulation of networks inside and outside the school. Discussing the results in light of international evidence highlight the need to deepen national investigations.
